DIGITAL PORTFOLIOS

We will be using digital portfolios in our classroom this year to showcase our learning.  These portfolios are private, and only accessible by  the student, teacher, and parent.   Students will create a portfolio  that they can upload  their learning in a variety of forms to.   Your child and myself are the only two people who can post into their portfolio, although as a parent, you will be able to  make comments to your child about their learning.   Over the next few weeks, you will be receiving an email asking you to set up and account and password so that you can access your child's portfolio.  The message will be sent to your email.  You can also load the freshgrade app to your phone so that you can access your child's account from it!

You can download the freshgrade app from the app store of your phone.  In order to set up your account, you will need to  enter our school district.

MATH

We use a game called Prodigy in  our free time at school.  It is a great interactive website that allows students to win awards and play interactively when they answer math problems correctly.  Your child will be given a password and username to log on at any computer or tablet.  If your child is going to have screen time, why not have them play this?  They love this game at school, and often ask to play at home!
